Spent last week at the University of California Irvine visiting Charles Ragin and participating in a workshop. In a new project Ragin and I will use set-theoretical methodology to study multi-dimensional well-being in the countries in the European Union. In the workshop five scholars – James Mahoney (Northwestern Uni), Ange-Marie Hancock (USC), Peter Fiss (UCS), Ragin (UCI) and I – presented showcases of our research using qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) and engaged in discussions with talented post-graduate students using QCA in their thesis.
